Welcome to HOKA
HOKA's goal is to inspire people to get moving. We want to give all athletes the opportunity to act fearlessly and creatively, to move forward with determination and passion, and to have a mindset that's always geared toward innovation and unconventional thinking. We develop new, bold, and unpredictable solutions for every type of athlete.
We aim to give a voice to the voiceless and ensure access to running, hiking, fitness, and other outdoor activities. We believe everyone is an athlete. And however you find joy in physical activity, HOKA will support you.
Where We Come From
HOKA was born in the French Alps in 2009, when two athletes decided to design a running shoe capable of tackling downhill runs with ease. The fruit of their efforts conquered the ultramarathon world thanks to word of mouth among athletes. The rest, as they say, is history.
"Radical change often happens when you try to solve a simple problem. Our goal was to improve times in endurance races by designing a shoe that would allow you to run downhill faster. And so, without realizing it, we reinvented the running shoe."
